Florida Water was first developed in New York City during the early nineteenth century, and has been used in different spiritual traditions as a means to purify and cleanse. This botanical liquid concoction delicately fuses spices, herbs, lavender and citrus oils.
Known for its light and reinvigorating scent, Florida Water can be also be worn as a cologne or perfume for protection, and many practitioners have noted its spiritual benefits with respect to drawing in abundance while blocking out both negativity and harmful energies. This enchanting mixture is named after la Florida, a Spanish term meaning flowery, covered with flowers or abounding in flowers; incidentally, the U.S. state of Florida was believed to be the location of the mythical fountain of youth that many European explorers, particularly those of Iberian origin, sought to locate for its reported health and rejuvenating properties.
Florida water, when diluted, is a great cleansing tool for crystals.
